Director of Education

The Director of Education directs and oversees the operation of the Daycare, Evaluation/Outreach Program, Special Educational programs, Nursing Clinic and Cafeteria through the Principals, Clinical Supervisors, Coordinators, and Department Heads. The Director of Education assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of Special Education procedures and programs consistent and compatible with New York State educational requirements for Special Education. The Director of Education plans programs, coordinates curricular resources, and evaluates effectiveness of programs for students with exceptional needs. The Director of Education is responsible for program development and innovation of special methods and approaches to ensure that students have a full educational opportunity.

 Minimal requirements:  Master's degree in Education with at least 5-7 years as a special education teacher, administrator, and/or related service personnel and 5-7 years experience in school administration. Leadership experience in education programs and settings related to special needs of students at K-12 level. Special Education and School District Administration certifications required.  Preferred requirements: 10 years experience in school supervision/administration and Special Education.

Early Childhood Principal

New York State School District Administrator or School Administrator Supervisor Certification; and Bachelor's/Master's in Early Childhood and Administration required.  Preferred: Master's Degree in School Administration and Special Education, 5 years of Administration Experience; and 5 years of special education teaching experience.

 

Human Resource Specialist

Minimum three years experience, Masters in Labor Relations and Human Resources preferred. Competitive salary and fringe benefit package.

 

Maintenance Mechanic Position

Maintenance Mechanic responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled work in maintenance and repair.  Knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, painting, masonry, plastering, and mechanical.  Minimum  Requirements : 3-5 years prior maintenance experience in addition to New York State Driver's License in good standing, reliable vehicle and high school diploma. Production Supervisor

Full-time Production supervisor is responsible for providing direct individualized work skills training and work supervision to individuals receiving services; and developing, implementing, and tracking individual pre-vocational goals. Minimum:  High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years experience in production/manufacturing/or working with the developmentally disabled and New York State Driver's License in good standing required. Associate's Degree plus two years experience in production or manufacturing and/or work with the developmentally disabled population preferred.  Salary $9.98 per hour. Hours 7:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.  Competitive benefit package. E.O.E.  Applications required.

 

Speech Language Pathologist - Temporary

Speech Language Pathologist in a center-based School-Age educational setting, Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree and SLP. Prior experience in school setting with developmentally disabled children and Masters Degree preferred. Competitive salary. Hours are 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

 

Substitute Registered Nurses (School Nurse)

The School Nurse provides health care to students ensuring the maintenance of optimal health standards for all students. The School Nurse serves as an advocate for health rights of students; consultant for health concerns of students; and promoter of sound health care practices within the school. Minimum Requirements: Current NYS RN License and Certification; Current CPR Certificate; One Year of nursing experience, preferably in school setting or servicing children. Must be available 3 days per week (on call basis); 7:30am - 2:30pm; $18.00/hour.
